Property management has been a specialised part of R Matthews and Son since inception. It is not surprising therefore that we boast a quality of service and knowledge founded on the experience gained over this time, which is second to none.

We also are very much aware of the high costs of being an owner of rental property and the following savings are appreciated by our clients:

  • There is no charge for advertising (internet, front window display, on site signs and front desk rental list for walk by traffic)
  • There is no charge for mediation/tribunal hearings
  • There is no charge to pay your rates and insurance
  • There is no charge for the maintenance inspections
  • There is no charge for lease renewals.

Duties of the Property Management staff involve tenant selection, processing of subsequent property application forms, including employment checks, previous rental history and checks with tenancy databases. Recommendations are then made to the owner.

Monthly accounting to owners is carried out within the first few days of each month.

Apart from the control of the rentals being a hands on day to day function of co-principal Ken Matthews we also have two fully qualified Rental Managers on staff. The maintenance inspection and report on your property is part of their function.
